The semester-long programs (both fall and spring) in Venice are for Wake Forest students. Founded in 1971, the program is based in the house Wake Forest owns, located next to the Guggenheim Museum on the Grand Canal. Each semester it offers courses in spoken Italian, Italian literature, History of Venice, and Venetian art history, as well as two additional courses in the visiting professor’s field of specialization. Credit is offered for five Wake Forest University courses.
In the summers, two four-week long sessions are offered: one in Italian Language and/or the Humanities, and one in International Law.
