The University Studies Abroad Consortium (USAC) has been providing quality study abroad programs for over 36 years. Our Turin, Italy program – which celebrated its 30th year in 2017 – is particularly unique and is offered during the summer, semester and year. Turin, home to the 2006 Winter Olympics, is a bustling, modern city of one million people. On this program you may choose from 3 diverse academic areas: International Business/Politics, Architecture/Italian cultural studies/language in including cinema, culture, cuisine, etc. The city’s rich combination of old and new styles makes it the perfect location to study architecture and design. It is an excellent program to meet Italian, European and other international students and business people in a leading center for European business and business education. You also have the opportunity to study Italian language from the beginning to advanced levels, and also take some courses taught in Italian such as Italian Culture (taught in English or Italian). Our Turin program, like all 4 of our USAC Italy programs, combines academic coursework with practical learning, tours, business and cultural visits and integrated cultural experiences such as language partners and possible homestays. Internships and volunteer opportunities in various academic areas are available, as well as scholarship and aid options.

In January, 2006, a second USAC program, in collaboration with the University of Tuscia, was opened in Viterbo. Its academic areas include history, art history, studio art, travel writing, photography, journalism, environmental studies, Italian studies/language. Multi-day tours, field trips, volunteering and internships are also available.

In May 2014, a third USAC program, in collaboration with University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (UNIMORE) was opened in Reggio Emilia. Its academic areas include Education, Health, Psychology, Nutrition, Communication, Italian studies/language. Reggio Emilia is a charming city where students are immersed in modern day Italian culture. Numerous volunteering and internship opportunities are available on campus and in the community.

A fourth USAC program in Italy in Verona was opened in 2016. USAC works in collaboration with IUSVE University. The program specializes in courses and internships in international business, tourism, fashion, culture, art and language. In all 4 of our USAC Italy programs, we offer sessions in fall semester, spring semester, and 2 summer sessions each year, as well as internships, volunteering, language partners, homestays, private apartments, hosted field trips and tours, etc. All of our programs are based at local universities for optimum interaction with local students and faculty.
