Cal Poly fourth-year students of architecture and landscape design attend semester-long programs in the heart of Rome. Cal Poly awards 20 quarter credits to its students for all classes taken in Rome.
Students pursue four principle activities:
A semester of classes in Design, Urban Studies, Architectural / Landscape Analysis, Historical Studies, Theory and Criticism and university-level Italian.
Hands-on fieldwork documenting archaeological sites historic urban architecture and contemporary construction.
Contact with local designers and cultural, professional and governmental experts.
Organized, academic travel throughout Italy.
