Meredith College offers both semester and summer programs which are located in Sansepolcro, Italy, a walled city in the heart of Tuscany. Rich in art and architectural history, this ancient town, founded according to tradition in 1000 A.D., possesses a distinctive Italian character that is ever harder to find among the parts of Florence, Rome, or Venice that most tourists frequent. The beautiful and historic Palazzo Alberti is home to Meredith in Italy and is a 16th century building that has been renovated to accommodate students and faculty as well as our academic programs. Everyone lives, studies, and enjoys traditional meals together in our Italian home. We are part of the Sansepolcro community through service-learning projects and regular dinners with host families. Group excursions and independent travel breaks are part of both the semester and summer programs and offers students an opportunity to explore other parts of Italy or Europe. Course offerings are variable depending on the particular semester or summer, but students earn credits in a rigorous and academic program designed to give them the knowledge, skills, and insight to live and learn in Italy.
